UCM’s Ysais PRs at National Championship
UC Merced, running as a team for the first time at the NAIA National Championship, placed 31stin the field of 35 teams at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Mo. California Pacific Conference Championship medalist Elizette Ysais turned in the top time for the Bobcats, crossing in 22:54 to place 116th in the field of 311 runners on the 6k course. Ysais' time was her best of the season and the second-fastest recorded in the Cal Pac in 2024.
Four individuals competed at the National Championship: Soka's Yuko Hashimoto (27:42) and Naylah Santos (29:03), Simpson's Joy Taylor (27:58), and La Sierra's Alyssa Rangel (28:36).
