ERAU Places 11th at NAIA National Championship
For the sixth consecutive season, California Pacific Conference champion Embry-Riddle produced a top-20 finish at the NAIA Women's Cross Country National Championship, placing 11th in the field of 36 teams competing at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Fla. The Eagles, who have won eight straight conference titles with as many consecutive appearances in the national meet, had three runners in the 75, led by Josey Gregory's 18:20—the fastest 5k run in the Cal Pac this year—that placed her 48th in the field of 326 runners. Gregory's time was one second better than her winning time at the Cal Pac Championship on Nov. 4. Makenna Bray was right on the heels of Gregory, crossing in 18:24 to finish in 53rd place, and Josephine Banks was the third Cal Pac runner to cross the finish line, running a 18:38 to place 71st—both personal bests this Fall, and only Gregory has posted faster 5k times this season.
