ERAU Edges Park in Playoff at ERAU Spring Invite

Park-Gilbert finished in a tie for first place with host Embry-Riddle at the ERAU Spring Invite at Antelope Hills Golf Course in Prescott, Ariz., but the Eagles prevailed by one stroke in a dramatic five-man, one-hole playoff when Wesley Bothel sealed the win for the Eagles with an eagle. Park's Noah Blaickner won medalist honors with rounds of 74-71—145, three strokes in front of ERAU's Jordan Garypie, Vanguard's Charles Thurston, and Park's Eli Cruzan. Blaickner won his first collegiate tournament after passing Cruzan who was leading after round one when he shot a 71.

In the women's event, ERAU, ranked No. 12 in the most recent NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll, overcame wind and cold conditions to win the Spring Invite by 56 strokes over Grace (Ind.). The Eagles posted the top four scores in the two-day event. Kaetlin Halseth, who led the tournament with 20 pars and tied for the tournament lead in birdies with five, won her second event in a row as she shot a 76 in the first round and finished with a 75 to finish five strokes ahead of second-place finisher Hailey Stevenson. Stevenson shot an 82 in the first round and a 74 in the second round for a total of 156 and tied with Halseth for the tournament led in birdies. Maisy Alsen and Charlotte Giffin tied for third place with a total of 158, and Libby Axen finished in 8th place with scores of 84 and 82.

Soka's Linnea Yamamoto posted scores of 87-83 to finish in a tie for 10^th place.

Simpson's Dean Knight took top honors at the Simpson Spring Invite, posting a two-round score of 70-69—139 on the par-72, 5990-yard Riverview Country Club in Redding, Calif.
