The 2021-22 All-Cal Pac Women's Basketball Teams
In their first season in the California Pacific Conference, both Westcliff and Park-Gilbert made their presence known on the court. Not only did both programs make the conference championship tournament, but Westcliff took home four of the five individual awards voted on by conference coaches, and Park garnered the other one. Additionally, five of the 10 voted to the First Team played for the two programs. The biggest accolades went to the Warriors' Trinity Vasquez, who was voted by the Cal Pac coaches the Player of the Year and the Newcomer of the Year. Vasquez was the second-leading scorer in the conference, pouring in 19.4 points per game and ranked 8th in rebounding with 6.5 per game, guiding WU to a #2 seed in the upcoming Cal Pac Championship tournament.
WU's Laura Tapia was named the Defensive Player of the Year, and Warrior head coach Kyle Rouse was voted the top coach in the conference by his peers. Fourteen of the 15 selected to the First and Second teams are upperclassmen, the only exception being the Freshman of the Year, Kayla Schroeder of Park.
Even with all the experience evident in the First and Second teams, only two players receiving recognition this season have been named to an all-conference squad before. La Sierra's Kayla De Leon, a First Team selection in 2019-20 when she was named the Newcomer of the Year, is an Honorable Mention this season, and UC Merced's Haylee Owen, another Honorable Mention in 2021-22, was a First Team pick in 2019-20.
