Ashley Rose Selected As Women's Basketball Player of the Week

William Jessup University senior Ashley Rose averaged 24.5 points in two games last week and was selected as the California Pacific Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the dates of January 3rd through 10th, 2011.

A native of Manteca, California, Rose averaged 24.5 points, 3 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2 steals in the Warriors' 2-0 week. The Warriors won a non-conference game 76-68 over UC Santa Cruz in Rocklin on Thursday and then won their California Pacific Conference opener 75-62 over Pacific Union College in Angwin on Saturday.

The Warriors will have two California Pacific Conference games this week. William Jessup will play Simpson University in Rocklin on Thursday and California Maritime Academy on Saturday. Both games are in Rocklin.
