UCM Runs Away With Cal Pac Title
UC Merced has run ahead of the pack all season, and the 2024 culminating event was no different. The Bobcats, who received votes in the latest NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll, registered nine of the top 14 finishers to run away with the California Pacific Conference title for the first time in program history and qualify for the NAIA National Championship meet at Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Mo., which will take place on Friday, Nov. 22. Also qualifying for the event are Soka's Andre Souza and Jordan Bravo. Bravo qualifies for the third straight season while Souza will be making his second straight appearance at the national event. Souza advances as the Cal Pac individual champion after turning in a 24:56 time over the 8k course at Woodward Park in Fresno, Calif. The Lions' senior runner posted the fourth-fastest time recorded this season, finishing 45 seconds ahead of UCM's Sharvin Manjrekar.

The 2020 Championship was held in Spring of 2021 at Pacific Union in Angwin, Calif.
