Men's Soccer Opening Round Kicks Off Nov. 7
The California Pacific Conference men's soccer championship opens its six-team format on Wednesday, Nov. 7, with a very familiar look to last fall's tournament. In the opener, #4 Benedictine-Mesa will faces #5 Embry-Riddle at 11:00 a.m., followed by #3 Antelope Valley taking on #6 Simpson in the second match of the doubleheader at 1:30 p.m. Simpson, which secured its seed on the final day of the conference season, is the only one of the four who did not play on last year's opening day--albeit with different seeding.
The championships are hosted by Marymount California and all matches will be played at El Camino Stadium in Torrance, Calif.
Waiting for the first-round winners are the top two seeds, UC Merced and Marymount California, the same two tops seeds as last year, but in reverse order. The Bobcats will play the BenU-ERAU winner at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9, and then the Mariners will meet the winner of the SU-UAV contest.
The championship match is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 10, at 1:00 p.m.
