SU Sweeps PCC, Opens 3-Game Lead

Simpson completed a three-game sweep over Providence Christian Saturday in Redding, Calif., by outscoring the Sea Beggars 15-11.  The Red Hawks, 11-4 in California Pacific Conference play and 17-25 overall, won both ends of Friday's doubleheader, 7-4 and 13-3.  They totaled 35 hits over the three-game set, almost half of which went for extra bases.  Of the 17 extra base hits, SU powered out four homes runs—one each from Dylan Leek, Cayden Lee, Andreyes Palacios, and Jaxon Hotta, who was a sizzling 5-for-7 with a run and four RBI in two games.  Palacios also swung a hut bat over the weekend, going 8-for-13 at the plate, scoring three times and driving home three.  In three games, Leek went 5-for-12 with five runs and three RBI, and Lee was 4-for-11 with a run and 6 RBI.
