WU, USK Close Out Regular Season

Westcliff closed out its regular season schedule with a 3-2 win over Hope International.  The Warriors, ranked No. 9 in the latest NAIA Coaches' Top 10 Poll, lost to Saint Katherine in the finale of the Cal Pac Jamboree 2 two weeks ago but secured a co-championship and the top seed in the upcoming Western Grouping NAIA Qualifying Tournament April 11-13.  It is the third consecutive Cal Pac title for WU, which finished the regular season with a 10-5 record.  USK, which gained a share of this season's crown, moved up to No. 6 in the NAIA, but closed out its regular season campaign with one win in five matches against a high level of competition.  After defeating No. 8 Vanguard, the Firebirds (11-7) lost to CSU Bakersfield, No. 10 The Master's, and then back-to-back losses to Cal Poly and Long Beach State at the Best in the West tournament.
