Simpson eliminated by #1 Dordt

After a historic season, Simpson's season is over! The number one team in the country made easy work of the Cal Pac champions 120-47 in the opening round of the NAIA Women's Basketball Tournament in Sioux City, IA. Dordt University (Iowa) (29-2, 13-1) scored 73 points in the first half to put the game out of reach early with their devastating full and half court defensive set that the Red Hawks couldn't counter.

Cal Pac Player of the Year, Anna Marshall, led Simpson with 14 points and 5 rebounds in her final game and was the lone double digit scorer. Dordt (Iowa) had three players in double figures led by Macy Sievers with 19 points and 10 assists. 

Dordt will play the winner of #9 Southern Oregon vs #8 Rocky Mountain (Mont.) on Saturday, March 14 at 3:00pm.
