The Red Hawks move on after comeback win against Westcliff

The Simpson Red Hawks pulled off a dramatic victory against Cal Pac rival Westcliff 2025 in the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Women's Volleyball Championship Tournament in Lawrence, Kansas, earning a trip to the events finals...and securing one of the two CAC automatic bids to NAIA nationals.

The Red Hawks were down 0-2 in the match falling 25-14 and 25-21 to the Warriors in the first two sets  A nail-biting third set ended with Simpson rallying for a 27-25 win. An equally tight fourth set went SU's way late, finishing 25-22.

The Red Hawks won the battle in the fifth set, 15-9, advancing to both the CAC final (tonight at 7 PM CST) and their very first NAIA national championship bid.

Cal Pac player of the year Brooke Sarahina dished out 46 assists in the match, with Mariah Napoleon (18 kills) and Tiara Manns (15) leading the way. Westcliff's Samantha Carelock (26 kills) and Stacy Folas (24) led the Warriors. Amanda Ferreira had 53 assists for WU.
