Pacific Union’s Maidan races to title, Simpson Claims team title
Pacific Union's Andrea Maidan wins the women's individual 6K at the Cal Pac XC Championships with a time of 25:02.78 and a 3 ½ minute win margin. This is the first individual title in Pacific Union's history. The Pioneers' Manami Uyeyama finished in second place with a time of 28:37.91. With their finishing times, Maiden and Uyeyama earned qualified for the national tournament.
Simpson wins the overall championship with a team score of 26 and a combined time of 2:40:33.84 with an average race time of 32:06.77. This is the first conference championship for the Red Hawks since the 2014 season.
