Cal Pac Selects Players of the Week for Sept. 30
The following California Pacific Conference student-athletes have been recognized as the conference Players of the Week for their performances during the period of Sept. 23-29:
WOMEN'S SOCCER
Offensive Player of the Week
Denise Elias-Martinez of Simpson led her squad to a split in two matches last week. The senior midfielder from Kingsburg, Calif., powered in two goals and assisted on another as the Red Hawks topped Providence Christian 3-2 in Friday's Cal Pac opener before falling to Westcliff 2-1 on Sunday.

Defensive Player of the Week
Westcliff's Kayli Cokley was in the net in both of last week's victories. The Warriors blanked Stanton 7-0 and then edged Simpson 2-1 on Sunday to open their conference campaign with a win. The junior from Folsom, Calif., allowed just one goal and had eight saves as well as recording her fifth shutout of the season.

MEN'S SOCCER
Offensive Player of the Week
Cade Weatherbie led Cal Maritime its second win of the season, a 5-2 decision over Lincoln last Wednesday. The junior midfielder from Everett, Wash., tied a Keelhauler program record with a hat trick against the Oaklanders and netted another goal in a 3-2 loss at Stanton.

Defensive Player of the Week
Jesse Heredia of Westcliff garnered his third top defender award of the season after posting two wins last week. The junior from Wilmington, Calif., recorded six saves while leading a Warrior defense that beat Stanton 4-1 on Tuesday and then shut down Simpson 3-0 in Sunday's Cal Pac opener—his sixth shutout of the year.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
Attacker of the Week
Jenelle Loewen of Providence Christian followed up last week's top hitter—her sister Jacey—with a recognition of her own. The junior middle blocker out of Paso Robles, Calif., had 13 kills in the Sea Beggars loss to Park-Gilbert last Thursday, compiling a .423 hitting percentage, three service aces, three digs, and a pair of blocks over three sets.

Setter of the Week
Providence Christian's Tehani Ho'okano picked up her second consecutive nod as the conference's top setter after her performance in last week's lone match against Park-Gilbert. The senior from Kane'ohe, Hawaii, dished out 22 assists while contributing five digs on the defensive end.

Defender of the Week
In two matches last week, La Sierra's Julissa Rodriguez filled up the stat sheet for the Golden Eagles. The freshman outside hitter from Highland Park, Calif., totaled four blocks on the defensive end while chipping in 12 kills on the offensive side.
