KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Alexsis Brown of Cal Maritime has been named the NAIA National Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday. Brown was selected based on her performances from Jan. 30 - Feb. 5 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/independent/unaffiliated groupings.

Menlo College junior Mikayela Viramontes pitched 8.2 innings in the Oaks' 1-1 week and was selected as the California Pacific Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for the dates of January 30th through February 5th, 2012.

Menlo College freshman Shannon Chapman went two for four in two games and was selected as the California Pacific Conference Softball Player of the Week for the dates of January 30th through February 5th, 2012.

CSU Maritime Academy senior Alexsis Brown averaged 37.5 points in two games for the Keelhaulers and was selected as the California Pacific Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the dates of January 30th through February 5th, 2012. This is Brown's seventh Player of the Week award of the season.
