The William Jessup men and Holy Names women continue their basketball seasons in quest of an NAIA championship when both teams open national tournament play on Thursday, March 11. WJU (17-13) faces #4 seed Bellevue (Neb.) (25-7) at 12 Noon CST in Point Lookout, Mo. HNU (23-9) is the #6 seed in their bracket and face #3 Briar Cliff (IA) (25-7) at 7:00 p.m. CST in Sioux City, Iowa.

The 2010 Cal Pac basketball tournament opens this week for the first time in its new format with all of the games being played at the higher seed. The Holy Names University Hawks are the women's champion while there were tri-champions on the men's side with California Maritime Academy being the #1 seed.
