Defending California Pacific Conference champion Holy Names University captured six out of seven first place votes as the men's soccer coaches pick to win the conference championship again in 2010.

The Holy Names University Hawks, in a vote of the California Pacific Conference's women's soccer coaches, were selected to be the coaches pick to win the California Pacific Conference. The Hawks received 3 first place votes.

In a vote of the California Pacific Conference's seven volleyball coaches, Holy Names University, last year's conference runner-up, was voted to be the top team in the conference. The Hawks received four first place votes.

The annual season-opening gathering of the California Pacific Conference coaches and administrators is on Sunday August 22nd, at Menlo College in Atherton, Calif. The training and awards event is the traditional start of the academic and competitive year for the league.                                                                                                                     

NOTE: Opening and closing sessions will take place at Broward Hall's "Pit" room.
