Simpson University senior Bekah Eppler averaged 20.5 points in two California Pacific Conference games for the Red Hawks and was selected as the California Pacific Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the dates of January 23^rd through 29^th, 2012.

CSU Maritime Academy senior Alexsis Brown averaged a double-double, in points and rebounds, in two California Pacific Conference games for the Keelhaulers and was selected as the California Pacific Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the dates of January 16^th through 22^nd, 2012.

Coaches from around the California Pacific Conference are participating in the Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers awareness weekend, a collaborative initiative of the National Association of Basketball Coaches and the American Cancer Society. The event is slated for Saturday January 28^th, 2012.
