Holy Names University placed four players on the men's all-conference team and two runners on the women's all-conferenc team to headline the California Pacific Conference cross country all-conference teams, Commissioner Don Ott announced today.

 

The conference champion on the men's side, Holy Names University's Juan Gomez, Zachary Holt, Edrian Luna and Juan Monje made the all conference team. On the women's side, the Hawks placed Maricruz Espindola and Chenique Jackson on the team. Mills Colege, the women's conference champion, placed three runners on the all-conference team - Lupe Cazares, Kim Chew and Angie Sandoval.

The Mills College women and Holy Names men won their respective races at the Cal Pac Cross Country Championships contested at Simpson University and will represent the conference in the NAIA nationals.

William Jessup University freshman Kimberly Spencer was selected as the California Pacific Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Month for September.

William Jessup University announced the signing of Bentley Nunes of Sutter High School. Nunes, who graduated in May, was a standout distance runner for the Huskies, who won a Division IV Championship this past spring in the 1600 meter race.
