Holy Names University senior forward Jonathan Kargas was selected as the California Pacific Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the dates of December 1^st through 8^th, 2008.

The San Diego, California native averaged 17 points a game as the Hawks went 0-2 in Hawaii, losing to University of Hawaii-Hilo 108-81 on Thursday and to Hawaii Pacific University 73-71 on Saturday.
