California Maritime Academy junior forward John Stiles was selected as the California Pacific Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the dates of November 17^th through 24^th, 2008.

The Murrieta, California native averaged 14.5 points and 8 rebounds in two games for the Keelhaulers. Stiles was also voted as a member of the all-tournament team for the 3^rd Annual Maritime Cup, which was hosted by California Maritime Academy. The Keelhaulers beat Maine Maritime Academy 82-46 on Friday and lost to the Coast Guard Academy 78-67 on Saturday.
