California Pacific Conference champion Menlo College took the top two individual honors and placed three players to headline the all-conference women's volleyball first team, Commissioner Don Ott announced today.

Junior middle blocker Deborah Bekowies captured the Player of the Year award and her coach Bill Imwalle, in his 9th year with the Oaks won Coach of the Year award. Menlo finished 20-8 overall and a perfect 14-0 in Cal Pac play. This is the team's 4th championship in the last 5 years, with a 59-1 league record in those championship seasons.

Bekowies was joined by two of her teammates on first team - junior Sarah Poole and senior Stephanie Williamson. 

Dominican's Gabby Pecora, a junior outside hitter and last year's player of the year, made the first team for the 2nd time. Her teammate Brooke Swingle, a sophomore setter, is another return honoree. Bethany senior Treva Crocker and Holy Names senior Miya Frank are also first team picks.
 
Libero of the Year went to William Jessup's Corrisa Jacomini, the Newcomer of the Year is Simpson's Nicole Eileen and the Freshman of the Year is Bethany's Paige Olivo.
 
Comissioner Ott made this statement about this year's all-conference team: "I applaud all of these student athletes on their achievement.  The California Pacific Conference is a competitive volleyball conference because of these outstanding student athletes."
