Menlo College junior Stephenie Monderine had 44 kills in four matches last week and was selected as the California Pacific Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the dates of September 5th through 11th, 2011.
The San Clemente, California native had 44 kills, 4 assists and 31 digs in a 3-1 weekend for the Oaks. The Oaks won 3-1 over William Jessup University and won 3-1 over San Diego Christian College on Friday and lost 3-2 to Arizona Christian and won 3-0 over UC Merced on Saturday. The Oaks' matches were a part of the William Jessup Invitational in Rocklin. As of September 8th, Monderine was third in kills per set, sixth in the conference in hitting percentage and seventh in service aces per set.
Menlo College continues their 2011 schedule with two matches this week. On Wednesday, the Oaks will play NCAA Division II member Dominican University in San Rafael and on Friday will host UC Santa Cruz in Atherton.
