Dominican University junior guard/forward Adam Chavis was selected as the California Pacific Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the dates of November 3^rd through 10^th, 2008.

The Oakland, California native averaged 22.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, .5 assists and 2 assists for the Penguins in a 1-1 week. The Penguins won Friday night 68-66 over Southern Oregon University and lost Saturday to NAIA Division II #1 and defending national champions Oregon Institute of Technology 82-74. 

Dominican University continues their schedule Friday and Saturday as they take on Biola University on Friday and a rematch against NAIA Division I #5 California Baptist University on Saturday. Both games are in San Rafael.
