Simpson University women's basketball coach Derrick Pringle announced the signing of his first two recruits of the 2011-2012 recruiting season in Brook Blaisdell and Hannah Saylor.
A native of Central Point, Oregon, Blaisdell graduated from Crater High School, where she played three years. The 5-10 forward was awarded Southern Oregon Hybrid All-Conference Honorable Mention. Coach Pringle said about Blaisdell, "She's a young woman with high character and is an extremely good student. Brook is also a very talented basketball player and will have a great chance to contribute immediately." Blaisdell said, "Simpson is a great Christian university and will allow me to grow spiritually as well as academically and athletically. Being able to be a part of the women's basketball team is an honor and I am very excited about playing for Coach Pringle."
Saylor, a 5-7 guard from Canyon Country, California, played varsity basketball for two years and is looking forward to playing for Simpson. She also welcomes the Christ-centered environment of Simpson. Coach Pringle said about Saylor, "Hannah has a chance to make an immediate impact to our basketball program. We're excited that she's joining us." Saylor said, "I chose Simpson because I knew it would be a great place for me to grow spiritually."
