William Jessup head cross country coach Parker Daniells announced the signing of announced his second signing of his 2011 recruiting season in Antioch, California native Gianna Lucido.

A runner-up for the Panther Athlete of the Year award, she represented the Panthers at the CIF North Coast Championships in cross country. Lucido broke two school records for Antioch High School in the 4x4 relay and in the 800 meter relay. She also was named All-Bay Valley League second team in cross country. Off the track, Lucido was a scholar athlete in four sports and was a recipient of the United States Navy Athletic Achievement Award. 

Coach Daniells said, "Gianna is a stellar athlete and brings so much to the table. She comes from a great program and has competed very well through her years as a runner for Antioch. I am very excited to have Gianna coming on board to be a part of our running family at William Jessup and I expect to see great things to come for Gianna in her career." Lucido said, "I look forward to playing at William Jessup and playing close to my family and friends."
