Dominican University landed in the NAIA men's basketball Top 25, clocking in at #21 in the NAIA Division 2 preseason poll.The Penguins, who won the Cal Pac regular season title last year, finished with an 18-12 overall mark and a dominant 14-2 league record. The team returns a whopping 13 players from that championship club including seven seniors and seven of the top eight scorers.

Highlighting the returners is conference player of the year Adam Chavis, a 6'5" junior G/F who led the team with 17.4 points and 7.0 rebounds. He's joined by fellow All-Cal Pac honoree Ari Iventosch, whose 1.2 points was second on the club.

Coached by Cal Pac coach of the year Brent Tovani, the Penguins are the obvious favorite of the league's coaches to defend their conference title.
