William Jessup University head women's soccer coach Jamie Howard announced the signing of Stephanie Long for the 2010 season.
Long, a Sacramento, California native, transfers to the Warriors from California Baptist University. As a freshman at California Baptist, Long earned the honorable achievement coaches award on a team that finished the season with a 16-5-1 record. Stephanie attended Capital Christian High School where she played four years on the varsity team. She was a four time All-Golden Empire League selection and a four-time GEL Scholar Athlete. In her four years at Capital Christian, Long helped guide the Cougars to four GEL championships and two Sac-Joaquin Section championships. She scored 106 goals while Capital Christian went 62-9-5 during her four year career.
Coach Howard said about Long, "We are very excited to sign Stephanie to our program. She is an outstanding young woman with the ability to find the back of the net. She is fast and physical. She will definitely be an impact on our front line."
