William Jessup University coach Aaron Muhic announced the signing of Omari'Yea Boughton for the 2010-11 season.

 

Boughton, a Sacramento, California native and 6-0 guard, joins the Warriors from Valley High School. He averaged 16 points, 5 rebounds and 2.7 assist a game for the Vikings and as a senior, Boughton led the Vikings to a 16-12 record. He was the second leading scorer in the tough Delta Valley League and earned First Team All-DVL honors. Omari'Yea scored 17 points in the 33rd Optimist Club All-Star Game in April. He was a four-year varsity player and was named team captain his junior and senior season.

Muhic said about Boughton, "Omari'Yea is a very talented basketball player. He attacks the basket very well and can play very physical. I am very excited to work with him and be a part of his development as a player and person." Boughton said, "I am honored to have the opportunity to play in a program that will allow me to prosper academically, athletically and spiritually. I feel like the mission and vision of William Jessup will provide me with a great foundation and prepare me."
