Coach Muhic said about Peterson, "Philip is a great fit for our program and community. He has a strong work ethic both on and off the court. With his dedication and commitment, Philip has a bright future in our program." Peterson said, "I choose William Jessup because of the Christian environment and how everyone at the university is there helping you to accomplish your goals. I like the small school atmosphere compared to some of the larger schools I visited. I feel like William Jessup is a great place for me to grow spiritually, academically, and athletically."
