In a vote of his peers, Keith Spataro was voted as the athletic director of the year for the 2009-2010 season.
Spataro became athletic director of the Oaks in November 2008 after building the Oaks' nationally-recognized wrestling program. This year for the conference, Spataro served as the representative to the NAIA-National Administrative Council (NAC). Spataro also is one of the forces behind bringing the annual NAIA-SIDA Convention to Atherton on July 3
rd. He has also guided the Oaks to prominence in the NAIA Champions of Character program and also has put emphasis on student development within the classroom, with Menlo yielding six Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athletes in four different sports.
