Simpson University women's head basketball coach Derrick Pringle announced the signing of three players - Nichole Jones of Puyallup, Washington, Kaity Hahn of Sacramento, California and Ariassa Wilson of Tacoma, Washington.
Nichole Jones, a 5-7 guard from Puyallup, Washington, played four years of varsity at Rogers High School where she was named most valuable player twice, the offensive player of the year and was named twice to the first team 4A-SPSL-South. She averaged 18.4 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals per game. Pringle said about Jones, "Nicole is an athletic and slashing guard who will fit right in to our program. Not only is she a solid basketball player, she is an excellent student."
Kaity Hahn, a 5-5 guard from Sacramento, California, played three years of varsity at Rosemont High School. She was on the Metro League All-League team and was team captain for the Wolverines, most valuable player, and offensive player of the year. She ranked ninth in the Sac-Joaquin section in assists and averaged 13.4 points per game, 3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 2.5 steals. Pringle said about Hahn, "Kaity is an exceptional basketball player. She is very creative, a great passer and shooter. We are happy to have her as a part of our program."
Ariassa Wilson, a 5-7 guard from Tacoma, Washington, Wilson played two years at Highline Community College where she was 1st Team Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges. She averaged 11.5 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.6 steals per game. Pringle said about Wilson, "With her ability to finish around the basket and create shots for others, Ariassa will make players around her better."
