The NAIA released the 2010 all-american teams for men's golf and two California Pacific Conference golfers -- Holy Names' Garrett True and Stephen Edman -- made the list.
Garrett True had a very successful year individually as he earned first-team All-American honors. True competed in sixteen events, finishing the year with a round average of just above 73. Garrett earned medalist honors at the California Baptist Spring Break Intercollegiate that featured a field that included a number of members named to the 2010 All-American team. Along with a runner up finish at the NAIA Regional Qualifier, True finished his college career earning a sixth place finish at the NAIA National Championship earning all tournament honors. Coach Greg Hutton said about Hutton's achievement, "Garrett really deserves this. His work ethic, determination and self belief are the reason he had such a great year."
Stephen Edman earned second team All-American honors after battling back from a injury that sidelined him for more than a month. Edman competed in twelve events and had a round average of just less than 73.
Greg Hutton said about his team's accomplishments, "I'm very proud of every member of the team who contributed to our achievements this season. It has been a great year and today's announcement validates what this team was all about."
