William Jessup University men's basketball coach Aaron Muhic announced the signing of Patrick Adelman and Jeremiah Gawthrop to the 2010-11 men's basketball team.

Adelman, a native of Portland, Oregon, joins the Warriors after a successful stint at Chemeketa Community College in Salem, Oregon. The 5-8 guard finished his career with a 4 to 1 assist to turnover ratio. The Storm finished the season with a 23-4 overall record and he was voted as the team captain and best defender. He was a teammate of current Warriors guard Kadeem Kirsten.

He started out his high school career at Granite Bay High School before moving to Oregon, where he attended Lake Oswego High School. In his senior season, he teamed with Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love to lead Lake Oswego to a 26-2 record in his senior season.

Muhic said, "Patrick Adelman has worked really hard to make himself a college basketball player. He understands the commitment it takes to win and strives for excellence both on and off the court. I am very excited to work with him and know that he will be a positive addition to our program." Adelman said, "I had choices to go to other places that were great programs, but were in the process of rebuilding. They became my first choice after seeing the success that William Jessup has had in the last couple of years. Kadeem Kirsten had nothing but great things to say about the Warriors program."

Jeremiah Gawthrop, a 6-5 wing, joins the Warriors after a standout career at Champion Christian High School. The Chico, California native averaged 10.1 points and 7.4 rebounds a game for the Mustangs. As a three year varsity player, Jeremiah helped lead Champion Christian to a 50-30 record, which included winning the North Valley League and being runner-up in the CIF North Section Championship during his junior season. During his senior year, he was named team captain and was the recipient of the Matt Dailey Courage Award.

Coach Muhic stated about Gawthrop, "Jeremiah is a great fit for our school. He possesses some good physical abilities for a basketball player and I know he will be a great addition to our campus community." Gawthrop said, "William Jessup offers me the opportunity to continue to grow academically, athletically and spiritually. The university strives to develop the whole person with a great Christian foundation. It's a blessing to be able to fulfill my dream of playing basketball at the college level."
