With the Cal Pac men's basketball regular season ending with tri-champions, top seed California Maritime Academy, the #1 seed in the tie-breaker, placed a league-high three players on the all-conference first team, Commissioner Don Ott announced.

Led by Player of the Year Andrew Medeiros, the Keelhaulers also are represented by Haven Piatt and Michael Weimer on the first squad. Medeiros, a senior from Santa Rosa, Calif., averaged 15.8 points to lead CMA to a 18-12 overall record, 9-3 in Cal Pac play.

Third-year CMA head coach Bryan Rooney was named coach of the year for the second season in a row.

William Jessup, another one of the tri-champions, placed two on the first team in Kadeem Kristen and Jason Washington. Washington was the clear favorite among the coaches for the Defender of the Year award.

Holy Names, also a tri-champion, placed Newcomer of the Year David Scott on the first team.

CSU Maritime's Jordan Birchell was selected as the league's Freshman of the Year.
