William Jessup University sophomore goalkeeper Dixie Blackwell was selected as the California Pacific Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the dates of October 6^th through 13^th, 2008.

The Lake Forest, California native saved thirteen shots in the Warriors' 2-1 win over Holy Names University on Saturday. Blackwell helped the Warriors go 2-0 over the week's span as the Warriors secured conference victories over Mills College and Holy Names University.
