Bethany volleyball head coach Reed Duffus announced the addition of two transfers to the Bruins roster for the 2010 season. Middle blocker Jackie Lee and setter Kirsten Duren have joined the team and enrolled in classes at Bethany for the spring semester.
The 6-1 Lee saw limited action in her initial season at George Fox University. She was a 2008 First Team High Desert League selection at Reed High School and played for Capital City Volleyball Club.
Kirsten Duren, a 5-3 setter, played in 33 sets for Boise State University in 2009. She averaged 2.55 assists and a.385 attack percentage for the Broncos. Duran had an outstanding prep career at Ripon High School, leading the Indians to Trans Valley League Championship titles in 2006, 2007 and 2008 as well as the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section runner-up titles during the same seasons. Duren also played club volleyball for Delta Valley and Ripon Rage.
"We are very excited that Jackie and Kirsten have joined our program," said Duffus. "Both come from terrific programs and as they learn how we do things here at Bethany this spring, they will become solid contributors and tremendous teammates."| Walla Walla University at | 39 |
