Pacific Union College freshman Randy Castanza was selected as the California Pacific Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the dates of October 19^th through 26^th, 2009.

The Bellflower, California native had eighteen saves in a 2-0 week for the Pioneers. The Pioneers won 3-0 over Simpson University in Angwin on Wednesday and beat William Jessup University 2-1 in Angwin on Saturday. 

Pacific Union College continues their 2009 California Pacific Conference schedule Friday as they take on Bethany University in Scotts Valley.
