Holy Names University junior Rebecca Chase and Menlo College senior Deborah Bekowies was selected as the co-California Pacific Conference Volleyball Players of the Week for the dates of October 12th through 19th, 2009.
Chase, a native of Gold River, California, had 41 kills, 32 assists and 21 digs in a 1-2 week for the Hawks. The Hawks lost to Academy of Art University 3-2 on Thursday in Oakland, beat William Jessup University 3-1 on Friday in Oakland and lost to Menlo College 3-0 on Saturday in Oakland.
A native of Benicia, California, Bekowies had 39 kills in a 3-0 week for the Oaks. Menlo beat Academy of Art University 3-1 in San Francisco on Tuesday, beat Simpson University 3-0 in Atherton on Friday and won 3-0 over Holy Names University in Oakland on Saturday.
