Holy Names received five first places votes and 42 points in route to capturing the 2009-2010 California Pacific Conference men's coaches poll. The Hawks took 42 out of a possible 206 points.

In second, by only one point, was William Jessup University with 41 points. The Warriors are coming off their second California Pacific Conference championship appearance last season. The other first place vote went to the CSU Maritime Academy Keelhaulers. The Keelhaulers went to the California Pacific Conference Final Four last season.
