Simpson University sophomore Courtney Opie was selected as the California Pacific Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the dates of September 22^nd through September 29^th, 2008.

The Sonora, California native scored six goals over a span of two games for Simpson, as the RedHawks went 1-1 last week. The RedHawks lost to William Jessup University 2-1 and beat Mills College 10-0.

Simpson University continues their conference season Wednesday October 8^th as they take on Menlo College in Redding.
