Pacific Union College goalie Randy Castanza was selected as the California Pacific Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the dates of October 5^th through 12^th, 2009.

The Bellflower, California native had twelve saves in a 2-0 week for the Pioneers. The Pioneers won 3-1 over Bethany University in Angwin on Wednesday and won 4-1 over Menlo College in Atherton on Friday.
