Holy Names University senior Mustafa Celik and Pacific Union College sophomore Edrei Mauries were selected as the co-California Pacific Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Players of the Week for the dates of October 5th through 12th, 2009.

 

Celik, a native of Cologne, Germany had a hat trick in a 1-0 week for the Hawks. The Hawks beat Simpson University 4-1 in Redding on Wednesday. Celik also won the NAIA Men's Soccer National Offensive Player of the Week last week.

 

A native of Lynwood, California, Mauries scored three goals in a 2-0 week for the Pioneers. The Pioneers beat Bethany University 3-1 in Angwin on Wednesday and won Friday over Menlo College in Atherton 4-1.

 Holy Names University and Pacific Union College will play each other Tuesday in Berkeley for first place in the men's soccer standings.
