
Mustafa Celik of Holy Names, the Cal Pac men's soccer offensive Player of the Week, has a new title to add to his week - NAIA Men's Soccer NATIONAL Player of the Week.
Celik was picked from a nationwide pool of 25 nominees selected by each conference's sports information directors and then voted on again by a national committee.
Celik's week was certainly worth national acclaim. He had six goals and one assist in the Hawks 2-0 week with wins over Bethany University in Berkeley on Tuesday and CSU Maritime on Saturday in Vallejo. Celik ranks fifth nationally in points at 3.3 per game, sixth in goals per game at 1.5 and 17th in total goals with 9.
Celik leads the Hawks, who sit atop the league standings, to play at Simpson on Wednesday.
