UC Merced has a 9-match unbeaten streak this year. Since 2015, when the Bobcats play a league opponent other than nationally ranked Marymount California, they've reeled off 20 consecutive regular-season conference wins.
First up for the Bobcats (5-0-4 overall, 3-0-1 Cal Pac) is a Thursday, October 5, meeting with an Embry-Riddle team (5-5-0, 3-1-0) looking to recover from its only league loss (last week at #18 Marymount California). UCM has won the last three match-ups with the Eagles, all in hard-fought one-goal results.
On Saturday, October 7, UCM tangles with Benedictine-Mesa (5-3-0, 3-1-0) for the first time. The Redhawks, in their first season of NAIA men's soccer action, are challenging for a top spot in the Cal Pac and have scored 12 goals in their three league wins.
