Simpson University head women's basketball coach Derrick Pringle, Jr. announced the signing of Consumes River College point guard Solvanga Slay.  

Slay played two seasons for Consumes River. Last season, she helped the Hawks to one of their best records in school history at 21-11, while averaging 5.7 points per game and 2.7 steals per game.

"Solvanga will have a chance to make an immediate impact to our basketball program. Her leadership and overall work ethic is something that I was impressed with in meeting her and watching her play. We are extremely blessed to have a player of her caliber as a member of our program and I look forward to see her develop and a Christian woman" said Coach Pringle, Jr.
