
Head coach Derrick Pringle, Jr. announced the signing of three student-athletes to the Lady Red Hawks basketball program.
The three new Lady Red Hawks are Dominique Quitoriano (Portland, Ore.), Sinoi Leasau (San Diego, Calif.) and Tylor Cilione (Macdoel, Calif.).
Quitoriano, a 6'0 post, played four years at Reynolds High School in Portland, Ore. Quitoriano was selected to the Mt. Hood all-star team. As a senior, she averaged 10ppg, 12 rebounds, and five assists and shot 85% from the free throw line.
Coach Pringle, Jr. comments on Quitoriano, "We extremely excited to have a player of Dominique's caliber at Simpson. She is an excellent post player who as a knack for rebounding and being around the ball. Dominique brings depth, energy, size, and strength to our program. As well as being a tremendous athlete, Dominique is a tremendous person and student and will be a great fit on our campus. I look forward to what God has in store for her these next four years."
Leasau, a 5'8 point guard, was a standout player at Helix High School in San Diego, Calif. While at Helix, she averaged 16.8 ppg, 6.1rpg, and 2.6spg. Leasau was selected second team All Grossmont South League this past season.
Coach Pringle, Jr. comments on Leasau: "Sinoi is a very talented player with great size and quickness to be affective at the college level. We will look for her to play the point guard position for us but she is versatile enough to play wing as well. Sinoi is a great defender and rebounding guard. As well with her athletic ability, more importantly she is a young lady seeking after God's heart. We our extremely excited that Sinoi choose Simpson and we look forward to see what God has in store for her."
Cilione, a 5'10 forward, played four years at Butte Valley High School in Macdoel, Calif. While at Butte Valley, she averaged 7.7 points per game and 9.3 rebounds per game.
Coach Pringle, Jr. comments on Cilione, "Tylor is an extremely hard worker and passion for the game and to get better. She is a great rebounder and loves to bang down low.
