In a vote of the California Pacific Conference's women's soccer coaches, the Menlo College Oaks, who were the 2007 California Pacific Conference champions, received 45 out of a possible 181 points, which included four first place votes, to be selected as the coaches pick to win the California Pacific Conference.

Last year, Menlo was the Cal Pac representative in the NAIA Region II Playoffs and fell to Point Loma Nazarene University in the first round in Atherton.

Dominican University was a close 2nd with 43 points and Holy Names University rounded out the top 3 with 34 points.

Two new scheduling quirks this year is that all Cal-Pac schools will play a double round-robin schedule this year and that the winner of the conference title goes to the National Tournament in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The final results of the coaches poll are as follows:

1.         Menlo

2.         Dominican

3.         Holy Names

4.         Simpson

5.       William Jessup

6.            Bethany

7.         Mills
