Madison Cox of Simpson averaged a double-double in a pivotal week in which the Red Hawks split a pair of California Pacific Conference contests, keeping the team's playoff hopes alive and earning her Player of the Week distinction.

Cox totaled 18 points and 15 rebounds in a critical home win over William Jessup, finishing the week averaging 12 points and 10.5 boards.  The 6-foot sophomore sank two clutch free throws with 0.3 seconds left in regulation, putting the game into overtime, and then helped Simpson run off a 17-2 run in the overtime period.  Cox, from Jenny Lid, Calif., hit 5-of-8 shots from the floor and eight of her 10 free throws in the win that kept the Red Hawks in the hunt for the final slot of the Cal Pac Championship Tournament.
