Holy Names University held off a hard-charging CSU San Bernardino team to take home the title Tuesday at the CSU San Marcos Invitational, posting a team total of 592, one shot better than CSUSB's 593. CSU East Bay placed third with a team score of 616, followed by Point Loma Nazarene at 620. Host school Cal State San Marcos finished tied for fifth (623) alongside University of La Verne.

The field included division II programs ranked in the top 30 in the country along with NAIA programs that are ranked in the top 30 in the country.

Daren Johnson and Tenzan Hashimoto tied for 7th place shooting a 36-hole 147 (3 over par). Austin Fink and Robbie Bendorf finished in a tie for 11th shooting a 36-hole 149 (5 over par). Garrett True finished in 33rd place with a 36-hole total of 156. The HNU golf team will head to Arizona February 16th to compete in the SNU Arizona Intercollegiate stacked with a field of top NAIA teams.
