Holy Names University guard Raquel Hyche was selected as the California Pacific Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the dates of December 8^th through 15^th, 2008.

Hyche averaged 18.5 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals in a 2-0 week for the Hawks as they started California Pacific Conference play. The Hawks beat CSU East Bay 95-83 in Hayward, in a rematch of the 2008 California Pacific Conference women's basketball championship, on Friday and a 80-64 win over Menlo College in Oakland on Saturday.
